Job Summary As the AC Start Up & Warranty Tech, you will work with customers to ensure they are offered all appropriate warranty and product service options. You will also handle the final stage check, corrections, warranty tasks, and scheduled calls. Responsibilities Troubleshoot single- and three‑phase installations. Check that heating & cooling equipment is installed correctly and verify cooling and heating operations (including drain lines and coils). Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdowns for repairs. Assess customer needs and offer appropriate products and services. Create and maintain a database of all leads through retail, new construction, and product registration. Provide constant feedback related to competition and current marketplace standings. Build strong relationships with vendor partners to ensure current information availability. Handle product registration for retail and new construction installations. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous in‑house sales experience. Customer service skills. High quality organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Multitasking capability. Networking and relationship building within communities. Excellent critical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (required). One year minimum residential field experience (required). Two years of experience in start‑up, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC service issues. Experience in retrofit and new construction HVAC installations. EPA Certification (preferred). Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record. Pass drug screen. Reliable HVAC tools. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
