Requisition Number: S_250762 Department: Housing: Catering-12429 Description of Work The Catering Delivery Driver is an integral member of the catering team. In this role you will: Safely operate the catering box truck, or other University vehicles in all weather conditions. Oversee and execute the pickup, drop off and delivery of food, materials, and equipment necessary for events. Support the culinary and front of house teams with operational assistance, including food preparation, dishwashing, event set up, tear down, and clean up. Ensure the Catering vehicles are following proper maintenance schedules in accordance with University protocols. Having a customer service focus, ability to utilize effective time management skills, and a strong attention to detail with high accuracy are vital to this position. Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with a variety of individuals. Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirement and the ability to pass a DMV check authorizing them to operate university vehicles. Food Handlers Permit or ability to obtain upon employment required. Preferred Qualifications Experience driving a box truck. Experience working in a fast paced ever changing environment.
