Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Class A CDL Hazmat Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks/work equipment at our customer sites. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and performing non-driving duties related to hazardous waste clean-up. Some of the vehicles you will operate include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers in a team atmosphere.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Conduct loading and unloading of trucks.
• Perform manual labor on-site to fulfill customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other requirements.
• Observe corporate operating guidelines and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Participate in emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Engage in site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Proficiency in using various mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical functions as required by the job.
• Successfully complete background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Meet facial hair standards as per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial driving experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous experience with Hazmat.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Experience in manual labor.
