Job Details The employees in this position are responsible for:
- Supporting a PLC controlled 120 wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line
- The operation will include set up, operation, breakdown and cleaning of all components, and the development of proper processing parameters during operation to optimize line speeds and yields
- Safe operation of forklifts to transport materials to workstations.
- Ensure proper quality review of the product on workstations assigned.
- Follow all company policies, including environmental policy and notify supervisor of any concern that may affect work area or company property.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination, or printing production highly desirable
- Prior forklift certification and experience.
- Ability to read and write English
- Good verbal communications skills
- Understanding of how to use a touchscreen (PLC) production line
- Ability to learn and understand technology associated with plastics processing
Physical Requirements
- Adequate vision
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Stoop, kneel, crawl, climb Stand and walk for the majority of an 12 and 8 hour shifts
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability and willingness to work overtime if required
- Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
- Mon, Tues, Wed, and every other Thursday from 6pm-6am (20% shift differential, must be able to train on days)
