HR Manager | Mattawan, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles, ensuring a steady talent pipeline.
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures on the manufacturing floor.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans for all manufacturing staff.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Drive health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with all relevant safety standards.
  • Identify and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills, productivity, and career growth within the plant.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll processing.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and manage workers' compensation claims.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems designed for shift work and production environments.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification or strong background in industrial safety programs.
