SE3 is a growing civil engineering firm that is committed to great quality and serving the needs of our clients. Our team is seeking a dynamic Hydrology / Stormwater Engineer to serve as a key contributor within our transportation group.

As a drainage engineer, you will have an opportunity to work on a variety of public sector projects across the company. SE3 has been involved in many significant transportation projects throughout our offices in Dallas and Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, St. Louis and Kansas City, MO markets. The selected candidate will work in our Chicago (Lisle), IL office but will have the opportunity to assist with projects companywide.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong background in transportation drainage design, detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater management and permitting.
  • Ability to lead drainage design on our transportation projects for a variety of public clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project staff and interact with clients
  • Experience preparing technical reports, plans, designs, cost estimates, and calculations
  • Developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of typical Department of Transportation and other transportation agency design standards and procedures

Qualifications Include: Minimum 3-5 years of experience A PE license or ability to obtain is preferred. Proficient with common drainage design software HEC-RAS, HY-8 and SWMM Experience with Microstation is preferred.

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
