Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a new local manufacturer who is searching for multiple Mechanical Maintenance Technicians.  The  Mechanical Maintenance Technician will execute the scheduled activities of the preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance plan to ensure equipment efficiency. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician has a wide variety of knowledge to handle preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance ensuring equipment operates to meet the production schedule. The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Technician has multiple years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, has worked in a manufacturing facility, is bilingual in Spanish, and is able to travel outside the US to Peru for initial training on company equipment.  The Mechanical Maintenance Technician Lead is a full-time, direct-hire position in Humble, TX. 

Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Execute Mechanical Maintenance Work Orders to Avoid Unexpected Downtimes
• Perform High-Risk Maintenance Tasks (at Heights, Hot Work, Hazardous Energy, Confined Spaces) in Compliance With Established Safety Standards to Prevent Accidents 
• Carry Out Repairs on Critical Equipment to Prevent Unplanned Downtimes That May Affect Production
• Report Work Orders in The SAP System, Maintenance Module, to Document Shift Events & Update The Database 
• Service Standby Equipment in Operational Condition to Minimize Downtime 
• Follow Safety Procedures & Regulations in The Performance of Daily Work Tasks
• Understand & Comply With The Regulations of The Integrated Management System Applicable to The Areas Where You Work, Including Work Instructions & Procedures Related to Quality, Environment, Safety, Occupational Health, & BASC Security
• Ensure Everyone Complies With Regulations & Compliance & Report to Management 
• Identify Hazards & Risks With Each Job Before Proceeding Forward 
• Carry Out or Participate in Projects, Responsibilities, Functions, Representations, & Tasks Assigned by Your Immediate Supervisor
• Recommend Equipment Lockout Due to Electrical or Mechanical Failures
• Propose Mechanical Spare Parts to Ensure Proper Equipment Operation 

Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required 
• Technical Education in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Preferred
• 2+ Years of Electrical Maintenance Technician in an Industrial or Manufacturing Facility Required 
• Bilingual in Spanish Required 
• Experience Performing Mechanical Maintenance in Metallurgical Industrial Plants or Similar Industrial/Manufacturing Plant 
• Knowledge in Bearing Maintenance Preferred 
• Must Hold a Current Passport & be Able to Travel Outside The U.S. 
• Must be Able to Attend a 3-4 Week Training in Lima, Peru Before Starting Work in the U.S.
• Must be ok Working With Loud Noise, High Temperatures, Vibration, & Exposed to Dust, Fumes & Liquids 
• Must be ok With Standing For Extended Periods, Load Transportation, Performing Repetitive Movements, Work at Structural Height, & Confined Spaces
