✨ About Therapy Matters

For over 20 years, Therapy Matters has been dedicated to helping children with developmental delays, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), thrive at home and in their communities. Founded by Kylee, an Occupational Therapist with a heart for serving children in underserved communities, our Chandler, AZ clinic offers an integrated approach to therapy, combining Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech, occupational, and physical therapies, alongside home-based services like respite, habilitation, and attendant care. After Kylee’s passing in 2012, her husband founded Kylee’s Angels to carry forward her mission of compassionate, client-centered care.

Today, we honor her legacy by creating a space where clinicians are supported, families feel heard, and children reach their full potential through tailored, evidence-based interventions. At Therapy Matters, we make a lasting impact—one child, one family, and one community at a time. Join our growing team and be part of a mission-driven organization that values collaboration, growth, and heart.

  • Use evidence-based music therapy techniques, such as improvisation, songwriting, and rhythmic interventions, to support developmental and behavioral goals.
  • Create an engaging, inclusive, and emotionally safe therapy environment to foster client growth and participation.

🩺 Assessments & Documentation

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate clients’ sensory, motor, communication, and emotional needs through music-based interventions.
  • Develop and implement music therapy treatment plans in collaboration with BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and PTs to align with individualized goals.

  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team (ABA, OT, PT, Speech) to integrate music therapy into holistic treatment plans.
  • Participate in community outreach to promote Therapy Matters’ services and educate families about the benefits of music therapy for neurodiverse children.

✅ Professional Standards & Growth

  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and facility standards, including safety regulations and clinic policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of music therapy research, best practices, and interventions, particularly for autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to team training initiatives.
