I have 2 dogs. Also have 6 alpacas that are included in the care needs. They are very easy to care for, need feeding twice a day, let out and back in at night, and cleaned out once a day. I need someone to stay in my house, and basically be there during the day, so ideally someone who either is retired, or works from home, would be the best option.
