Description Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates Benefits $1.00 Certification Pay Clinical Ladder up to $1.00 per hour Job Summary Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable. Certified Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age Experience Required: As required by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board for Certification Exam Skills Good verbal and communication skills Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Direct customer and patient interactions Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
