About The Role

As a Principal Product Designer at Figure, you will shape the experience of core products endtoend, balancing craft with clarity, systems thinking with execution, and vision with technical pragmatism. You will be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Compliance, and the business, ensuring that what we design is not only beautiful, but buildable, scalable, datasound, and grounded in real customer needs.

This is a handson role for someone who sweats the details, understands how things actually get built, and elevates the work of everyone around them.

What Youll Do

• Lead product design across multiple highimpact initiatives, from zerotoone concepts through polished, productionready experiences.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape product strategy, user flows, service architecture, data requirements, and technical constraints early in the process.
• Think deeply about edge cases, states, error flows, and data integrity, producing designs that anticipate realworld usage and give developers exactly what they need.
• Translate complex business and user needs into simple, cohesive experiences that drive measurable outcomes.
• Evolve and scale Figures design system, ensuring consistency and innovation across products.
• Raise the quality bar for visual craft, interaction patterns, systems thinking, and UX rigor.
• Mentor and provide design critique to senior and midlevel designers, fostering a culture of craft, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Collaborate crossfunctionally to influence product decisions and align teams around a shared vision.
• Represent design at the executive level, communicating design rationale and customer insights clearly to stakeholders.

What We Look For

• 8+ years of experience in product design (UI/UX or product/interaction design), with a strong track record leading complex, multidisciplinary work.
• Proven experience driving complex design projects from strategy through execution, ideally in a fastpaced or highgrowth environment.
• Evidence of designing products that shipped, scaled, and impacted the business.
• Strong systems thinking around design components, technical constraints, and how to structure flows for engineering efficiency.
• Expertlevel proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, etc.) and design systems thinking.
• A portfolio that shows high craft and strong product thinking, clear problem framing, consideration of technical tradeoffs, detailed states, data logic, and thoughtful execution.
• Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and design best practices for responsive web and mobile experiences.
• Exceptional storytelling, communication, and facilitation skillsable to align diverse perspectives and influence at all levels.
• Experience mentoring other designers and helping teams scale design impact.
• A mindset that balances design intuition with datadriven decision making.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, crypto, capital markets, AI, or other datadense or highregulation domains.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies or close collaboration with development teams.
• Experience defining or leading design vision, principles, or systems at an organizational level.

Salary

• Compensation Range: $158,400$198,000/yr
• 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly
• Company equity in the form of RSUs
• This is the compensation range for the United States; actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs.
