Accounting Assistant Opportunity In Dallas, Texas

We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting assistant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This contract-to-permanent position involves managing financial tasks related to loan fundings, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting operations and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Review loan files to ensure all required documents have been received for each transaction.
• Verify submitted data against supporting documents to confirm accuracy.
• Perform fraud checks and other required processes for bank transactions.
• Obtain counter-signatures from designated officers for approvals.
• Ensure timely transmission of wire transfers as required.
• Provide support for collateral specialist functions when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies through proper documentation and training.
• Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and provide updates on loan fundings.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of daily accounting activities.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in accounting software systems.
• Familiarity with Concur and other expense management tools.
• Solid understanding of accounting functions, including entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and data entry processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify data accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for customer and team interactions.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements related to accounting operations.
