Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Troutman, North Carolina. This role is focused on ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and managing payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices promptly and ensure proper coding and approval.

Conduct regular check runs to maintain timely payments.

Verify invoice details for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices and payment records.

Collaborate with vendors to address payment inquiries and issues.

Monitor accounts payable reports to identify and address outstanding balances.

Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures during payment processing.

Assist in month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.

Support the team with additional administrative duties as needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in accounts payable or a related role.

Proficiency in invoice processing and coding.

Familiarity with conducting check runs and managing payment schedules.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and team members.

Knowledge of accounting software and systems.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial records.
