Business Intelligence/Data Analytics Summer Intern - *Only Local Candidates will be considered* - *In Office Monday-Thursday*
SFM’s summer interns will participate as active team members by projecting a professional and customer-friendly image of the Company while performing various functions to support the department assigned to. You will grow your critical thinking and time management skills and to apply them to various situations. The internship will develop independent work habits and have you gain familiarity with the internal operations and best practices of SFM. General office duties includes data entry, document generation, using software specific to SFM, basic investigation tasks, and customer service.
The Role : We’re seeking a motivated AI Summer Intern to support the development of cutting-edge predictive analytics and automation solutions within the insurance industry. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with machine learning models, analyze large datasets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into real-world workflows. You’ll research emerging technologies, prepare clear and professional documentation, and contribute ideas that help shape innovative applications across underwriting, claims, and customer service. This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related fields who are eager to apply their technical skills, grow in a team-oriented environment, and deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
Schedule : Approximate work availability from June through August 2026 (9-12 weeks) required. SFM will work to accommodate university schedules. Weekly schedule will be Monday - Thursday and working at least 30 hours per week.
Pay : $21.10 - $29.54 per hour

Compensation: The base pay posted is just one component of SFM’s total compensation package. The salary range listed represents the full compensation range for this position. Job title and starting pay will be based on the selected candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and education, if applicable as well as internal equity with other employees in the same job classification.
Physical Requirements
Work takes place in a semi paperless environment within an office setting or home office setting, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, which requires being stationary for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and work with close vision. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Work is performed indoors with little to no exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions.
