We're excited to announce that Roadrunner *Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital* is hiring for the position of *Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian*! We'd love to add a kind, highly motivated, hard-working, collaborative veterinarian who cares deeply about the veterinary field and who has big goals for themself and for our team. This position has a high base salary plus production for an experienced ER veterinarian who can handle a busy caseload while staying polite and professional. The schedule is designed to optimize work/life balance with only 3 scheduled shifts per week. We aim to stay well-staffed to support our veterinarians, to keep wait times short and to reduce burnout.
*Who We Are*
Roadrunner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital located in the center of Albuquerque. We're the only non-corporate ER in Albuquerque and we will match all written offers (qualified, respectful) technicians receive from other hospitals to ensure we compensate ours appropriately and keep them around! We moved into our new 13,000+ sq ft building in March. We have 10 exam rooms, 2 surgery suites, a separate ICU, CT and endoscopy. Roadrunner is part of the Los Suenos Veterinary Group family, a 100% locally owned (not nationwide corporate) company owned by a single owner who was born and raised here in Albuquerque and who's a practicing veterinarian in our hospitals. *Requirements*
The ideal candidate is an experienced ER veterinarian whose personality and bedside manner matches their high quality medicine. DVM, DEA license and NM state license (or ability to obtain) are required.
*Schedule*
The schedule for this position is 3 shifts/week.
*Compensation*
Pay is based on experience and starts at $190,000/year plus production for experienced ER vets. With production, expected compensation is over $300,000/year. A generous signing bonus is offered for candidates who are a good fit for our hospital and values.
