Construction Estimator - Business Development Focus

A fast-growing, highly respected commercial General Contractor in Northeast Ohio is adding a Construction Estimator with Business Development experience due to continued growth. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys combining estimating expertise with client relationships and pursuit strategy - not a back-office position.


You’ll play a key role in winning work , shaping pricing strategies, and supporting projects from early pursuit through handoff, all while working in a collaborative, people-first environment.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects
  
  
• Analyze drawings, specs, schedules, and general conditions
  
  
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies
  
  
• Support pursuit strategies, negotiated work, and budget pricing
  
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  
  
• Act as a bridge between estimating and operations for smooth project transitions
  
  

What They’re Looking For

• Experience in construction estimating with exposure to business development, sales, or client-facing work
  
  
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  
  
• Proficiency with tools like Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff , or similar
  
  
• Confident communicator with a relationship-driven mindset
