Overview Join our dynamic team as a Licensed Optician, where your expertise will shine as you provide exceptional eye care services and support to our valued patients. In this vibrant role, you’ll be at the forefront of optical health, assisting customers in selecting the perfect eyewear and ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Your contributions will not only enhance vision but also elevate the overall patient experience in a friendly and engaging environment. What you’ll do Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their needs, preferences, and lifestyle. Conduct comprehensive fittings and adjustments for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards. Collaborate with optometrists to interpret prescriptions and provide necessary information regarding ocular health. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and contact lens usage. Manage inventory levels of optical products while utilizing retail math to optimize sales performance. Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and retail sales techniques. Ensure a clean and organized work environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and clinic protocols. Basic qualifications Licensed Optician certification or equivalent experience in optical settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and anatomy. Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, including Revolution EHR. Preferred qualifications Experience in pediatrics or senior care settings is a plus. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to optical manufacturing (edging lenses) Background in retail management or sales within the optical industry. Ability to measure vital signs as needed for patient assessments.
