We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to lead and promote a SAFE First Culture, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policies. This role involves job hazard analysis, training, maintaining records, and coordinating safety activities to foster a culture of zero incidents.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and promote a SAFE First Culture.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policies.
+ Perform job hazard analysis to identify potential losses in systems and processes and recommend corrective actions.
+ Review and update location standards, policies, and practices to align with company and regulatory requirements.
+ Train associates, supervisors, and employees on safety and environmental awareness, specific program, and job requirements.
+ Maintain required records, prepare reports and files to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
+ Conduct warehouse safety and environmental inspections.
+ Organize and coordinate emergency response efforts.
+ Conduct ergonomics assessments and implement solutions.
+ Organize and lead the safety committee.
+ Lead job safety analysis and hazard assessments.
+ Coordinate accident investigations and reporting.
+ Facilitate ISO compliance.
+ Promote a culture of zero incidents and value on human resources.
+ Complete monthly training on safety and environmental topics.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
+ Knowledge of ISO and OHSAS standards.
+ Ability and willingness to train large groups of people.
+ Ability to manage projects with on-time delivery.
+ Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and OH DEP regulations.
+ Experience in accident investigation.
+ Familiarity with the job safety analysis process.
+ Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed organization.
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This position leads the safety aspects for the 2nd shift team in a manufacturing setting, fostering a strong safety and sustainable development culture.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oxford, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
