Job Title: SQL & Accounting Data Consultant (Contract / Interim) Location: Remote (Must be available during PST business hours) Duration: 4–6 months (with potential extension) About the Role Our client’s Accounting and Revenue teams frequently require detailed data to support month-end close and audit activities. Currently, this work is largely handled by engineers who are skilled at pulling data but less experienced with accounting and business context—and most of them are located overseas, creating time zone challenges. To improve efficiency, they’re looking to bring on a team of SQL & Accounting Data Consultants who can bridge the gap between finance and technical teams. Responsibilities Write, execute, and validate SQL queries to extract data primarily from NetSuite (and secondarily from Salesforce). Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to understand data needs, providing timely and accurate reporting for month-end close, audits, and ad hoc requests. Serve as a bridge between technical and accounting teams, translating business requirements into data solutions. Document requirements and partner with finance on longer-term automation and process improvement projects when not handling urgent requests. Ensure full availability during PST hours, as most urgent data requests arise during this time. Qualifications Solid understanding of accounting and finance concepts (month-end close, revenue, reconciliations, audit support). Strong SQL skills, with experience querying ERP and CRM data. NetSuite expertise is a huge plus; Salesforce knowledge is a bonus. Strong communicator who can collaborate cross-functionally and provide clear insights from raw data. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
