\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 13-week assignment working 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
\n• Work on 12 West, a telemetry PCU specializing in stroke and neurology patients
\n• Current patient ratios are 1:5 for PCU
\n• Float as needed within acuity to other PCU or medical-surgical level units
\n• Care for hospitalist medicine patients including stroke and neurology patients
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
\n• Epic experience required for charting
\n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
\n• Manage chest tubes, IV drips (Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix)
\n• Work with tracheostomies, PICC lines, and oxygen modes including CPAP and BiPAP
\n• Utilize telemetry monitoring (remote telemetry with monitors remaining on units)
\n• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 25
\n• Work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter season)
\n• Self-scheduling using Kronos system
\n• 32 hours of orientation provided
\n• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
