We are searching for an Inpatient Staff Nurse - Infusion Center/Hemoc, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree, associates degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for RN licensure, technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement, or currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN
• RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1-year professional nursing experience required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform and document assessments of the patient and family, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental (age-appropriate), cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs in an organized manner
• Develop an individualized plan of care based on the nursing assessment, reflecting the bio-psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs of the patient and family, and initiate the plan within 24 hours of admission
• Execute therapeutic interventions prescribed by physicians or nurses according to established standards and policies
• Identify and document changes in patient condition or abnormal findings, and implement appropriate problem-solving and interventions
• Identify barriers to learning (emotional, physical, cognitive) and utilize suitable teaching strategies and materials based on the patient's and family's learning abilities
• Maintain ongoing communication with the healthcare team to ensure timely diagnostics and effective patient flow from admission to discharge
• Demonstrate effective delegation, prioritization, and cost-effective care in patient interventions and therapies
